Module 2: Lesson 6
Organizing Your Refrigerator
Let's Clean Out That Fridge!
How many times do you open your refrigerator each day? If you're like most households, it's probably dozens. With so much traffic, it’s easy for things to get disorganized, especially if you don’t have a plan for how to use each section effectively.
Believe it or not, every food item has a specific place in your fridge to maximize its shelf life, keep it fresh, and ensure it's safe to eat.
When you know where each type of food belongs—and apply what you’ve learned in this module about FIFO, ethylene, and expiration dates—you can make the most of your fridge’s design, reduce food waste, and keep everything easy to find.
Plus, by properly organizing your refrigerator, you'll reduce daily stress and make your groceries last longer—saving both time and money. Amazing, right?
We get it—cleaning out the refrigerator might not sound like fun, but watching Margot always is! Be sure to check out the video—her enthusiasm is contagious. And don’t forget to download the refrigerator organization map below!
And don’t forget, the Facebook group is always there for questions or to celebrate your wins. See you in the fridge!
